What\u2019s on your Christmas list this year? <\/b><\/p>\n

Alison Gervais: <\/b>This year I\u2019m hoping for a travel coffee mug and fuzzy slipper socks. I wouldn\u2019t say no to a Barnes & Noble gift card either.<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie Sullivan:<\/b> I don\u2019t think it would surprise anyone if I said books were on my list. I also love sitting around and writing, so good pajamas are always great! Or maybe a massage- all those hours sitting hunched over my computer writing add up! <\/span><\/p>\n

Christina June: <\/b>I’m always on the hunt for bookish and writer-themed presents. \u00a0I’m a big fan of all the items on my editor’s suggestion list:<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonathan Friesen:<\/b> I got my Christmas gift for this year, last year. A Sting concert. I might score a couple pair of socks. The older I get, the cooler socks are.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorie Langdon:<\/b> A 2018 Erin Condren planner (I couldn\u2019t function without one!), Clue \u2013 Harry Potter edition, a new bookshelf for my office, and wireless earbuds. <\/span><\/p>\n

McCall Hoyle:<\/b> \u00a0<\/span>I write a letter to Santa every year. This year I have a few secret requests that I\u2019ll send his way. Sometimes, I think it\u2019s good luck to keep those requests between me and the big guy, but I\u2019d also really, really like a new MacBook. <\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite Christmas dish? <\/b><\/p>\n

Alison Gervais: <\/b>This bit comes after Christmas, but on New Year\u2019s we always have stuffed cabbage rolls and latkes. I\u2019m not sure how or when this started, but we\u2019ve always done it, and I always love it. I look forward to it every holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Annie Sullivan:<\/b> My mom has this recipe for sugar cookies that I love. We spend one evening with my sister and her kids cutting out fun shapes and then decorating them. They\u2019re as much fun to make as to eat! We make Christmas shapes like Christmas trees, reindeer, and snowmen, but we also have so many wacky cookie cutters that we all try to make a \u201cspecial\u201d cookie shape. I usually choose the dachshund cookie cutter for that one. <\/span><\/p>\n

Christina June:<\/b> The best years are the ones where my dad makes a standing rib roast. \u00a0Delicious!<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorie Langdon:<\/b> A week before Christmas, my Mom comes over and we make Christmas cookies and candy with my two boys. My favorite are Buckeyes\u2014an Ohio tradition, they are peanut butter candy balls with a chocolate shell made to look like actual buckeye seeds. They\u2019re addictive, especially made with dark chocolate! <\/span><\/p>\n

McCall Hoyle:<\/b> Just one? If I have to pick just one, I think my sister\u2019s ham and baked pineapple casserole. It covers all the sweet and salty requirements. <\/span><\/p>\n

What are you currently reading? <\/b><\/p>\n

Alison Gervais:<\/b> I am currently reading <\/span>Haunting the Deep<\/span><\/i> by Adriana Mather. \ud83d\ude00 <\/span><\/p>\n

Annie Sullivan: <\/b>I\u2019m reading John Green\u2019s <\/span>Turtles All The Way Down<\/span><\/i>. I had a chance to have coffee with him about a month ago and talk about the book, so when the book came out, I couldn\u2019t wait to pick it up! His prose is just indescribably good. <\/span><\/p>\n

Christina June: <\/b>I have a hard time reading during NaNoWroMo, but I am enjoying the audio of both THERE’S SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSE by Stephanie Perkins and LONG WAY DOWN by Jason Reynolds, which is beautifully read by the author. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonathan Friesen: <\/b>Student philosophy papers. They are not thrilling, but they sure are interesting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorie Langdon: <\/b>\u00a0<\/span>I\u2019m usually reading multiple books at a time. Right now, I\u2019m listening to the audio book of <\/span>Hunting Prince Dracula<\/span><\/i> by Kerri Maniscalco, reading <\/span>Last Christmas in Paris<\/span><\/i> by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb, and the devotional; <\/span>The Greatest Gift: Unwrapping the Full Love Story of Christmas <\/span><\/i>by Ann Voskamp<\/span><\/p>\n

McCall Hoyle:<\/b> I finished <\/span>How to Hang a Witch <\/span><\/i>by Adriana Mather just in time for Halloween. Now, I\u2019m finishing <\/span>The Black Witch <\/span><\/i>by Laurie Forest. They were both perfect for setting the tone and mood for spooky festivities. Next, I\u2019m moving on to winter holidays and plan to start with <\/span>My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories<\/span><\/i>, edited by Stephanie Perkins and contributed to by some of my favorite authors. <\/span><\/p>\n
